I don’t know if you can feel the energy in the ethers right now, but it’s very much this feeling of knowing something’s brewing. Knowing you are being called to something new. Knowing change is on the horizon—and feeling so grateful for exactly where you are, right here and now.
There’s this urgency and groundedness all at once.
I’ve been feeling this recently in my own life and career as I curiously wonder, “what’s next?” And I’ve found so much comfort in keeping a healthy dose of curiosity while also remaining completely certain at the same time—certain that I am exactly where I’m meant to be, and that I will continue to be guided to where I’m needed, supported with the circumstances, opportunities, and environments that will nourish my growth.
There have been times in my life when that question—what’s next?—or the presence of a decision felt debilitating. Mostly because I was so focused on whether or not I would make the right choice.
But the truth is: when we are connected to the light, to source, to the mightiness of this universe…
There is no such thing as a wrong decision.
When certainty is alive in our bodies, we know with every ounce of our being that no matter what we choose or which way we go, we are on the exact path we’re meant to be on.
This idea of developing and strengthening certainty doesn’t mean we are certain of a specific outcome, or that everything will go exactly the way we hoped or planned. It means a deep internal knowing that, no matter what, all will work out exactly as it’s meant to—for your highest good, your personal growth, your ultimate evolution.
I think about this often in yoga class.
When I’m taking from a teacher who offers a million options—
take an extra vinyasa, rest in child’s pose, bend the knees, straighten the legs, add movement, find stillness…
At first, I get slightly annoyed. I want to say, just tell me what to do!
Then I remember the lesson of certainty.
Because yoga is a mirror of life itself, the mat is one of the best places to practice embodied certainty.
When you’re in downward-facing dog and given a handful of choices, it’s actually the perfect opportunity to practice the truth that you simply cannot choose wrong.
If you take child’s pose: you’ll receive rest. Growth.
If you choose more vinyasas: you’ll build strength. Growth.
If you bend your knees: you’ll invite more flexibility. Growth.
Every choice leads to some type of expansion.
So when we’re faced with the question:
What’s next? What should I do? Where should I turn?
We come back to certainty—trusting that all will unfold as it’s meant to, and that no matter what we choose or where we go, we will inevitably grow.
When life brings challenge, we say: What a pleasure. I get to become more resilient.
When things go exactly as we hoped and dreamed: What a pleasure. (Then make sure you enjoy the sh*t out of it).
The frequency is honestly the same…
The greatest prayer we could ever pray:
Help me become more certain.
Knowing that even if I have no idea how it’s going to work out,
I simply know that it will.
And lately, I’ve been feeling this in a whole new way.
Recently, I made a monumental decision (it’s likely irrelevant to you, but it felt GIGANTIC for me) to retire from teaching yoga. Not just extend my sabbatical… but truly close that chapter. And I knew with certainty it was the right thing to do.
And honey, let me tell you- it’s not because I don’t LOVE and adore yoga and teaching, it’s just that I felt like I hit my ceiling- there was no more growing room. I got everything I needed from it and I gave everything I had to give to that journey and profession.
While I am of course always open to a plot twist, I can also rest really easily knowing that I have poured my entire heart and soul into this craft and offerings.
I have taught thousands of humans and thousands of hours. I have had the most powerful conversations on and off the mat with my beautiful students and for that I am eternally grateful.
(Video of the actual practice that I made this decision)
I think you know you’ve completed a cycle when you can genuinely look back on what you’ve done and how you showed up with pride, gratitude, and knowing that you have given your all. And with the feeling that you have nothing more to give in that way. When you no longer feel the need to reach for higher heights in your field and instead bow in reverence for all you’ve done, how you’ve grown, and everything you’ve learned and offered.
I now show up on my mat with a different frequency. I show up to care for myself instead of to create new sequences. I show up to pray without wondering how this choreography will serve my students. I show up to nourish my entire being from the inside out.
Most of all, I show up because I love it, it brings me pleasure, and it feels good. No more feeling like I have a duty or responsibility. Not to become a better version of myself. Simply because it brings me so much joy.
Teaching has shaped so much of who I am. But something new is calling, and this choice—while bittersweet—felt like a door closing so another could open. And when certainty lives in your body, you can feel that closing without fear. You know it’s not an end, it’s a beginning. AND at the same damn time, I have absolutely no idea what this new beginning or calling is or even what it might look like. I’m just remaining WIDE open.
That’s the magic of certainty. It lets you hold the bigness of life with grace. It gives you permission to say yes or no without anxiety or worry. It reminds you that you that life isn’t about getting the answers correct- it’s not even about choosing the “right path,” but rather the experience of exploration, wonder, and surrender- and when that is rooted in trust, in certainty, ooooweeee! Let me tell you what, honey child, life becomes so much more magical and easeful.
Enter Gemini Season.

Gemini energy can feel like being pulled in a dozen directions at once. It brings curiosity, possibility, ideas, and stimulation. It reminds us of the power of not staying stuck. Of asking questions. Of exploring the infinite.
And it can also feel like… a lot.
Too many options. So much to think about. Confusion. Restlessness.
A lack of clarity.
That’s when we must call on certainty to be our anchor.
When we are grounded in trust, every path leads to growth.
When we feel scattered or unsure, we return to our center—that place inside us that knows there is no such thing as a wrong move, especially when we are aligned.
When certainty is our top priority, it makes life so much more fun and enjoyable to live. When we are operating in certainty, the body feels vibrant, peaceful, grounded, and at ease. When we are operating in doubt, worry, or fear, the body feels uneasy, anxious, tight, and wound up. And the more connected we are to our bodies, the easier it becomes to know when we’re operating in certainty vs uncertainty.
And the more connected we are to our bodies, the easier it is to feel the difference between certainty and uncertainty.
To put it simply: One feels amazing. The other feels horrible.
Even when things don’t go according to plan, when we are certain, the body still feels at peace:
Rejection becomes redirection.
Delays become divine timing.
Closed doors become new paths.
Whatever didn’t happen becomes protection.
Detours become new journeys.
Losses become liberation.
